Kate Underwood

Kate has been a part of the Brown's Family for 20 years, and a member of the staff for 16. She currently coaches levels 6-10. However, through her years at Brown's she has had the privilege of coaching preschool, developmental, and team level gymnastics. Brown's has truly been a second family for Kate.

Growing up she was a competitive gymnast through age 13, when injuries switched her path to diving. Through this path she earned a scholarship to the University of Nebraska and was a member of the swim & dive team from 1990-1994.

She has 4 daughters who competed for Brown's. They each went on to earn scholarships in other sports (diving, track, pole vault, and swimming) but give credit to their strong gymnastics foundation for their success.

Fun fact — in 2022 she started running competitively and just completed her first 50k ultramarathon to celebrate her 50th birthday.
